My theories and thoughts used to be a lot more frenzied and strange. I'm sure there are those who'd consider a chunk of what I think these days is pretty "out there" but it's nothing compared to the old days. But the thing is - I can get further these days with less. Further in life, further towards present mindedness, further into happiness, etc. That's kind of nice, it means things don't always have to be a struggle anymore.

Liquid Days
Wow, definitely an intense experience moving through the three day detox cleanse of only broth and protein drinks. Liquid diet is an interesting experiment but it certainly ain't sustainable. Definitely noticed that my energy was lower Sat-Mon (the three liquid days). I'm back on food today and can tell the difference. That said, getting in really deep with eating also helped to get me in pretty deep with some firmly entrenched psychological issues that have been bugging me since I was a wee lad.
Tomorrow I move on to the food testing phase where I can introduce foods that I haven't had since before the first phase of testing and see how they hit me. I'm going to start with soy. According to the blood type deal, soy's supposed to be good for me. I hope it is as it supplies a lot of my protein and also I loves me some soy goodiness.

Sharkskin Shootout
Saw this over the weekend. "Sharkskin Man and Peach Hip Girl" Very choreographed motion through much of the movie but this, the climactic shootout, is static. An interesting way to do it. Good movie, by the guy who directed "Taste of Tea"

Daniel Corogeanu
This is like a modern day re-telling of Ken Russel's "The Devil's" movie and the exorcist himself looks like a Dungeons and Dragons character.
BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) -- A former priest began a seven-year jail term Wednesday for murdering a young nun during an exorcism ritual when she was bound, chained to a cross and denied food and water for days.

Irina Cornici, 23, died from dehydration, exhaustion and suffocation during an ordeal that stunned Romania and prompted the Orthodox Church to promise reforms and psychological tests to screen potential clergy.
The former priest, Daniel Corogeanu, and four nuns were all convicted and sentenced in September but Corogeanu was freed pending an appeal, which he lost Tuesday. He was picked up by police in the remote northeast Wednesday and sent to jail.
Cornici, who had previously been treated for schizophrenia, had believed she heard the devil talking to her. Corogeanu and the four nuns decided to try an exorcism ritual in June 2005 using techniques that the Romanian Orthodox Church condemned as "abominable".
The church, which has benefited from a religious revival in recent years, defrocked Corogeanu and excommunicated the four nuns, who in September were handed five- and six-year jail terms.
When arrested Wednesday, Corogeanu said he would serve his term if that was God's will, the national news agency Rompres reported.
Corogeanu, a Romanian, dropped out halfway through training for the priesthood, but still served as a priest for the secluded Holy Trinity convent in northeast Romania because of a shortage of suitable candidates for convents and monasteries.

Ah February
February - it is the shortest month of the year on the calendar but for my dollar it can often feel like the longest experientially. I'm usually a very happy guy but it's about this time of year that I can get down, and it's not just me: worldwide Feb has the highest suicide rate. Now that's an interesting factoid as you'd think this whole "Feb Sucks" thing would be based around the cold weather but many areas of the world are experiencing very different weather than we MNtians are right now.
Last year, however, I took a step to help diminish the affects of this time of year. I enrolled in yoga teacher training. 200 hours in 9 weeks is a lot of time and I was too busy doing things that I loved and was driven to do to have the time to wallow in it. It worked really well and last Feb was absolutely great!
This year I'll be starting Feb with the Nutrition Program cleanse, I'll be learning how to teach yoga sculpt, I'll be teaching a lot of classes (though a couple less than I have been), I'll be going full force into Ka-baalim "volume three" work and I'll be prepping for an Advanced Teacher Training that I'll be doing in Mexico come mid-April. I'd guess that all of this should help a bit. Free time's for summer, Feb's for work!
